What an incredible weekend at The Riverfront in Newport, Ritzy Cinema and Windrush Square in Brixton and Mockingbird Cinema in Birmingham! Our Windrush Caribbean Film Festival celebrated the rich tapestry of Caribbean heritage and history, with outstanding films that moved and inspired us all.

Our journey continues in Brixton where WCFF 2024 comes to a close on Sunday 30 June at the Ritzy

Join us for an evening to celebrate the filmmakers who brought compelling stories to our screens at this year’s Festival. We will announce the winners of Best Short Film, Feature Film Award and Best Film Award. The night will be hosted by writer, poet and filmmaker Nairobi Thompson.

Two other important moments include the presentation of the Paulette Wilson Justice award that goes to a noted community leader in honour of the tireless campaigner for justice for the victims of the Windrush scandal and the Menelik Shabazz award presented to an up-and-coming Black British Filmmaker.

Join us afterward for further celebrations, featuring cocktails by Kromanti Rum and Caribbean food.
