The Windrush Caribbean Film Festival (WCFF) is back for its sixth year, running from 14 to 29 June 2025. Whether you are joining us in person or online, this year’s festival offers a packed line-up of films and events that shine a light on Caribbean stories and the Black British experience.

The 2025 theme is Belonging, Being and Becoming – three words that invite us to think about identity, community and the different paths we take to find our place in the world. WCFF continues to honour the legacy of the Windrush Generation, while also looking ahead and creating space for new stories to be told.

You can expect a bold mix of feature films, documentaries and shorts, as well as conversations and special events that bring people together. It is a chance to learn something new, hear voices you may not have heard before, and reflect on what it means to belong.

As Co-founder Patricia Hamzahee OBE puts it, “The festival is about telling stories that matter – stories that educate, inspire and reflect who we are.” Co-founder Garry Stewart adds, “This year, we are going further – connecting with more communities and supporting filmmakers at every stage.”

The full programme will be announced on Thursday 24 April 2025, with tickets going on sale shortly after.

If you are interested in history, culture or film – or simply want to discover something different – save the dates and join us this June.
