PAULETTE WILSON AWARD
The award will be given to an individual who has been instrumental in advancing the narrative to achieve justice for the Windrush generation.
The Windrush Caribbean Film Festival (WCFF) aims to engage and educate audiences in cinemas and art venues across the UK about the contributions of the Windrush generation and its impact on the country through screenings, talkbacks and micro-cinema challenge that will take place in cinemas, schools and community centres across the country.
WCFF and the Windrush Microcinema Project specifically are designed to bring filmmakers and the too often unknown stories of the Windrush generation together, providing visibility to both by enabling emerging media artists to create 10 Digital Stories to be screened during the Festival.
The award will be given to an individual who has been instrumental in advancing the narrative to achieve justice for the Windrush generation.
